Evan Miles is a jazz pianist, composer, and educator born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in jazz studies from the University of Manitoba in 2023 and has been based in Toronto since 2024, where he earned a master of music degree at the University of Toronto in 2026. He is the recipient of the U of M Desautels Faculty of Music Gold Medal for highest academic achievement in his graduating class and the U of T Barbara and John Sutherland Scholarship in Jazz Piano. He performs regularly with his own groups at Toronto venues like The Rex, the Jazz Bistro, Sellers and Newell, Hirut, and The Emmet Ray and has performed alongside musicians such as Dave Young, Ernesto Cervini, Ethan Ardelli, Mike Downes, Morgan Childs, Allison Au, Terry Clarke, and Neil Swainson.
